  • Development of a machining process for a special screw connection of a component for manned space flight
  • Challenge: The material to be used was a light but brittle titanium alloy was to be used and the surface quality had to meet the highest requirements
  • Due to the material-specific properties of the titanium alloy and the specified surface quality, internal cylindrical grinding did not provide a satisfactory result
